Selena took off her lab coat and left the autopsy room. It was already very late. Everyone on the floor was about to leave, but Selena was used to working among piles of corpses. If she were afraid, she wouldn't have chosen this line of work. Her footsteps were the only ones in the corridor. She stepped into the elevator and saw a woman standing inside. The woman was well-groomed. She wasn't dressed extravagantly, but her clothes were appropriate and neat. The woman stepped out of the elevator and headed toward the autopsy room. Selena thought she looked familiar, but she couldn't remember who she was. There were so many people working here that she couldn't possibly know them all.
The elevator came to a smooth stop on the first floor, and the doors opened wide. Selena stepped out. But the more she thought about it, the more something seemed wrong. She knew where she had seen that woman: on the deceased! Selena broke out in a cold sweat, but quickly collected herself. Perhaps she was the deceased's older or younger sister. Besides, there were cameras in the autopsy room, and everything would be recorded, so she had nothing to worry about.
