The Lucky Princess

Han Mengqin is blessed with good fortune. She brings prosperity to her mother, her husband, and herself. When her parents divorced, everyone said she would be left without anyone to look after her. But then her mother remarried into the palace, became empress, and gave birth to a crown prince. From then on, her father and grandmother no longer dared to neglect her. They treated her like royalty. Her childhood betrothed, who had been bullied and tormented by his stepmother, was about to be sent to the battlefield to die. But he came home having won a great victory, and was even granted a marquis title. When Han Mengqin arrived in the capital, people looked down on her because her parents were divorced and her father held a low-ranking position. Then the emperor turned around and bestowed the title of commandery princess on her. Everyone: How is she so ridiculously lucky?! The story is based on historical events. The heroine's life broadly follows that of Jinsu, the sister of Emperor Wu of Han, who was made a county lady and later honored as Xiucheng Jun. The heroine's mother is a glamorized version of Wang Zhi. After divorcing the heroine's father, she marries into the palace, bears a son, defeats the emperor's former favorite consort, and wins the support of the imperial clan. Eventually, the heroine's half-brother becomes crown prince, and she is made a commandery princess, though in history she was a county lady. The male lead's campaigns against the Western barbarians are based on Huo Qubing's battles against the Xiongnu. Theme: Building a happy and harmonious family life
