The Four Elements (Harry Potter)

In early 1990, a chance encounter in Albania ultimately led Henry Avery to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts... Knowledge and wisdom, courage and clear-headedness, goals and kindred spirits, perseverance and tolerance. Wind, fire, water, earth. Four houses, four not-yet-grown men, four factions, four ways of surviving. Told from an adult's perspective, this story reveals the Order of the Phoenix, the Death Eaters, the Saints, and the world at large, all beyond Harry's sight. A few things to keep in mind: The story will not explain common terms or character backgrounds from the original Harry Potter books in detail, so readers who haven't read them may find it hard to follow. This is not a transmigration story. The romance is clean. Following the original canon means there will be no wands, magic circles, ancient xx magic, or phoenix Animagus, all of which clearly contradict JKR's worldbuilding... Nor will there be any old bumblebee, platinum beauty, hidden Potter or Prince family estates, or other unknown curiosities... The plot may diverge, but I'll do my best to keep the characters true to the originals. Henry is the protagonist, but Harry is still the one and only person who can defeat Voldemort. This story will not be locked behind a paywall. I'm a cockroach: I only need to eat enough book reviews to survive. The outline is complete through the ending, so I won't abandon the story. !!
