The Black Sunny Day Doll

A girl stood amid the water mist.

She held a pitch-black parasol. Its heavy shadow hid her face, but her hand reached beyond the edge of the umbrella, stretching toward the brilliant world outside, and came to rest amid the sunlight, the mist, and a faint rainbow.

Her slender hand was whiter than a thick blanket of frost. It was so pale it seemed transparent, sickly, and carried an ominous warning.

Just then, a gust of wind lifted the edge of the black parasol slightly.

And so Xie Liangzhu saw the girl's true form, hidden in the shadows: snowy skin and white hair, devoid of all pigment, like a frail statue sculpted from ice and snow.

She was an albino.
