This heroine was created for my Naruto fanfic, "Motion and Stillness." I rather like her, and coming up with another name and backstory would be such a hassle, so I made a few small changes where needed and brought her over as she was. The original was a derivative work based on Bu Chen's Naruto fanfic, "Stillness in Motion." I hereby state this for the record.
Actually, you can tell from the title "Motion and Stillness" that I hadn't come up with a proper title and was just using a label for the content. This story's title is the same... I haven't thought of anything better yet, and I only started writing because the recent serial chapters pushed me into it... But writing fanfic that isn't an AU means taking the original story's direction into account. Even though I can't stand it lately, and I can't stand the plot I see coming even more, I still need to let the battle against the Ten-Tails reach its conclusion before I can decide what happens afterward. So I don't know how far I'll get...
For now, I'm not thinking about the timeline. I'm writing scenes out of order, wherever my thoughts take me. It's a farming-life story (not really...)...

I [crossed out]may be a wicked stepmother[crossed out], but I never treat my original characters unfairly. They all grow up with silver spoons in their mouths and golden fingers. Miss Leng Chan is not only beautiful and clever, but comes from a spotless family and is a wealthy heiress. Her memory rivals a computer's, her fighting ability is no worse than Kakashi's, and she's a brilliant talent who can secure the nation on horseback and bring peace to the land on foot. She more than lives up to the Mary Sue ideal.
All in all, Leng Chan is Kakashi's mirror image, and vice versa. That's what first draws them to each other. This is a story about a pair of fake childhood sweethearts and childhood friends growing up together. I write Kakashi for the sake of writing Leng Chan, and writing Leng Chan is writing Kakashi...
So, in the end, it really is a farming-life story...
I'm narrow-minded about Kakashi pairings: I only accept Kakashi/Itachi and Itachi/Kakashi. And for het pairings, I can't accept fragile but strong-willed characters with low combat ability, either... I don't oppose canon pairings. I just can't face the current storyline for a while, and I can't write the current protagonists anymore... So if the new Sannin show up, they'll probably inevitably be out of character or superficial...
(Repeating to myself a thousand times: "The young master isn't dead, and Shikamaru didn't admit defeat to Naruto...")
