This was written a long time ago, and marked my transformation XD~ Looking at it again now, I’m not very satisfied with it, though I can’t say I’m dissatisfied either. I’ll do my best to revise it.
It’s already June 21. I should have reposted it in April. But it’s not too late now, and even if it isn’t his death anniversary, Itachi’s birthday is on the ninth, after all.
It’s rare for me to write something faithful to the original without making fun of it. Well, even if it’s terrible, there’s not much else to say. That picture of Itachi, which looks just like a memorial portrait, has stood right in front of my desk all this time. I’ve been an adult for ages now, yet Naruto is still my motivation. Maybe one day I’ll see an anime better than Hokage, but in my heart, Hokage will always be the best. It was Hokage, along with the characters in the anime, that saved me when things were at their worst.
I dedicate this story to the best big brother, Uchiha Itachi. I also want to commemorate all those years Naruto accompanied me, teaching me to take things in stride, to strive, to be strong, and to believe in warmth. I hope all the feelings they have stirred in us will keep encouraging us to go on, all the way to the end of our lives, all the way to that far-off place called forever.
