Elegant version:
Old dreams linger, the past is blurred
Like flowers glimpsed through mist, the moon reflected in water, elusive and indistinct
Though our hearts cherish one another and our feelings are true, what we gain, we lose again
We hope to pine for each other and stay together forever, until at last our wish comes true (adapted from "Phoenix Seeking Its Mate")
Explanatory version:
Donghua Dijun, surnamed Ni and styled Junming, was born above the Blue Sea when Heaven and Earth first came into being. Destined to command the martial realm and create all things, at birth he breathed out two streams of pure qi, each with a spirit: one named Siwu, the other Siming.
The Queen Mother of the West, surnamed Yang and styled Wan Jin, was born atop Kunlun when Heaven and Earth first came into being. She presides over law, ritual, and moral instruction, and became sworn siblings with Donghua Dijun. Together, they govern the Five Elements and the Three Realms.
This is the long journey of the first male immortal in the Celestial Realm to shed his single status~
Wacky version:
Donghua Dijun Ni Junming was born an immortal, with a status supreme above all others. Anyone who ascends to immortality must pay respects to the Dijun before the Queen Mother of the West. Yet he is carefree and lazy, and loves nothing more than sleeping. He slumbers above Penglai in the Blue Sea, calling it cultivation... Whenever the Dijun descends into the mortal world, it means calamity is about to befall Heaven and Earth.
So the immortals both look forward to and dread the question of when the Dijun will wake. They look forward to an audience with him, which could raise their cultivation by another level, but dread the calamities that follow his awakening. In every catastrophe, many immortals are forced to endure the painful process of being reforged from scratch.
A day in Heaven is a year on Earth. This time, the Dijun woke after only fifteen days...
This story absolutely, positively has a happy ending~ I basically never write bad endings~ You can count on me to finish what I start!
