The story ended long ago, but they are still there.
I happened to click into a column that had been dormant for ages. On a whim, I went through a dozen or so unfinished old debts in my notebook. Those scattered fantasies about the age of magic lay sleeping among the lines and paragraphs. It was as if, the instant Obliviate was lifted, my memories returned to a world I had loved so, so deeply: familiar, real, delicate and fresh, filled with ordinary sweetness and moving immortality... I used to complain that authors I liked abandoned their stories, left their manuscripts unfinished, and that fellow fans who had cried and laughed with me had wandered off to scream about another world. But suddenly I felt I had no right to be upset about any of that, when I finally tried logging into the forum only to discover I had forgotten not just my password, but my ID too.
