A heartwarming, healing story about how an undercover agent brother finds his undercover agent younger brother.
I can never tell whether these are fragments of real memories or dreams made up by my mind.
A pair of hands like iron pincers suddenly grabbed me from behind. Everything went black.
I don't know how long passed. The familiar air was gone. All I could hear was the rumble of wheels striking the tracks, the occasional cries of children in the darkness, and my heart pounding as if it would burst out of my chest.
When I woke again, it felt as if I were caught in an endless whirlpool, tossed up into the air one moment and plunged into a ravine the next. My insides felt ready to come up, but there was still no sign of daylight. It seemed the world had shrunk to the faint sound of waves crashing nearby.
At last, the black cloth over my eyes was removed. Before me was a terrifying face, covered in scars and scruffy whiskers. My head was still ringing, and I could hardly hear anything. A boy much taller than me suddenly dashed out of sight, as if he had gone mad.
"Bang!"
After a deafening crash, the boy turned around and stared at me in terror. Then he fell backward, his eyes wide open, and hit the ground hard. The dust he kicked up blurred my vision until I couldn't see a thing. There was no sound, no awareness, only a field of, scarlet.
"Hah..." Woken from the nightmare, twenty-eight-year-old Ye Kai felt a dull, stifling ache pulse through his chest. A powerful light seemed to shine in his face. He tried to lift his eyelids, using every ounce of strength he had. Through the narrow slit, he made out a blurred figure moving in the glare. A white mask hid its face. The person in the white mask leaned over to glance at him, then turned to the people behind and said, "He's awake."
"At least we managed to save one!" A voice from the shadows behind them sounded relieved.
One... survived?!
A huge wave of sorrow swept over Ye Kai, crushing the breath from his lungs. It felt as if a piece of his heart had been ripped away... He tried to move his arms and legs, but not a single part of his body had any strength. He shut his eyes tight and searched his mind for the source of these feelings, but couldn't find even the slightest clue. Soon, overwhelmed by this heart-rending grief, he blacked out again...
Premise:
The author wrote it very carefully and the plot setting is also very detailed. I said it was very enjoyable to watch. The ending seems to be duller than expected? But maybe this lighter flavor is better. As a cologne fan, I felt uncomfortable at first, but later I got used to this setting and found it quite interesting. I like Captain Fu very much... I like the writing style.
