Villain

[Early work, with inexperienced storytelling. Read with caution]

Li Feng Nian is an ordinary, hard-luck farmer. When he was a child, he was struck by lightning while herding cattle and taking shelter from the rain beneath a tree. It did not kill him, but from then on, everyone in the village believed he was a wicked person, because only wicked people were struck by lightning... People despised him and looked down on him...

I happened to feel inspired after reading a short story in a book, and that was how I came up with this story. I have also always wanted to read a story about an honest farmer being pursued, but there weren't many online that suited my tastes, so I decided to write one myself and get what I wanted.

I have a soft spot for rural bottoms, and plan to start a series about them. If you're interested, click the link.
