A Two-Player RPG

No matter how hard you try along the way, there may be only one possible ending to the game. Ye Yangchi happened to receive a compressed file for an RPG he had never played. That night, he discovered in his sleep that he had entered the game, becoming Ye Yang Yufeng, the archenemy of his favorite supporting character, Yi Xiulan. Knowing how every event would unfold, could he change Yi Xiulan’s originally tragic fate? Ye Yangchi didn’t know. All he knew was that, through one twist of fate after another, they went from enemies to understanding each other, and he had never felt anything like it. Yet no matter what he did, the game always returned to its original course. With the ending now in sight, would he still have the courage to keep going? In short, this is the miserable journey of a bottom who wants to change the fate of a top, only to find himself repeatedly stealing the spotlight from the person he admires most. A virtual RPG, with the story split between reality and the game. Couple: Yi Xiulan x Ye Yangchi (Ye Yang Yufeng), cold and powerful top x gentle, goofy bottom. Or, to put it more simply: miserable, powerful top x miserable, goofy bottom. PS: The setting is partially fictionalized. Please don’t scrutinize it for realism. Special note: Everyone, the bottom, Ye Yang, in this story is just an ordinary person. As long as he’s Ye Yangchi, he’ll never puff out his chest and unleash an overwhelming aura (unless he gets a cheat), nor will he have an unparalleled intellect on par with Conan or 007 (unless he gets a cheat). He also won’t have the sort of foresight and strategic mastery over events that reborn protagonists have (unless he gets a cheat). Please don’t judge him from an all-knowing perspective and insist that he “should have done this” or ask “why didn’t he do that,” because he’s right in the middle of it all. Also, if you manage to read anything else into this passage, I take no responsibility for spoilers~ * * * Note: The author tends to ramble and focus on plot in equal measure. This is a slow burn, so proceed with caution if you’re tempted to skip ahead. Theme:
