In our youth, we took every scene before our eyes for granted, thinking only that we wanted to grow up quickly. We never knew how much we were missing.
There were many things Dinesna Delais didn't know, like how her family had suddenly fallen into decline, how she kept offending people for no reason, how she seemed to have fleeting, strange flashes of insight into the future, and, even more, Riddle's favor.
Tom Riddle also didn't know many things, like why his mother had fallen in love with his Muggle father, why the descendants of Slytherin had fallen so far, or why the children and matrons at the orphanage all hated him so much. And, even more, why he had started paying attention to Dinesna Delais.
