Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han

Literary version: The Mount Tai Fengshan ceremony has vanished into the mists of time. The land lies desolate. Who could stand beside you as your equal? We meet in the Warring States era, with all under heaven as our board, looking down upon the world. When the splendor fades, would it not be better to join hands and rule the land together? Plain version: Liu Che: Ying Zheng, come spar with me. Ying Zheng: ...I haven't started learning martial arts yet. Liu Che: You're slacking off. Starting tomorrow, you'll begin training. Ying Zheng: You're going to teach me? I won't call you Master. Liu Che: Only I, the Emperor, get to defeat (bully) Ying Zheng. Everyone else, stand aside. The Zhao children (shrinking their necks): Standing aside... Liu Che: You got bullied by a bunch of kids? Looks like you haven't trained enough. Double your training today. Ying Zheng: Oh. Years later, looking back on his tearful childhood, the First Emperor remarked with deep feeling: I was pushed and worked to the bone by A Che until I gradually became a martial arts master. This is a wuxia story with fantasy elements, set in a semi-alternate world. The pairing is Emperor Wu of Han and the Qin Emperor. Read at your own risk if that's not your thing.
