The World (Shumao Fanfiction)

I cannot drink all the waters of the mighty river,

nor wash away the endless yellow sands.

I cannot describe all the warmth and coldness of human nature,

nor escape love, hate, joy, and sorrow.

I cannot cast aside fame and fortune,

nor see past grudges and tangled affections.

I cannot forget the mortal world,

nor let go of palaces in the heavens.

Cherry blossoms bloom for only 7 to 10 days. Their language is, "The law of fate is repetition." Legend says that the dead are buried beneath cherry trees, whose blossoms draw nourishment from their lives. A cruel beauty, a beautiful cruelty.

Synopsis:

If only...

There are no ifs in this world.

This is a history of an empire's feuds.

A war with no justice, no heroes, and no victors. What does it have instead...?

P.S. Since this isn't quite fan fiction, but merely borrows the original forms of some characters, the characters can't be exactly the same as in the original work. I hope you'll understand. You can also read it as an original story.
