Go, Little Emperor!

When I was ten, the imperial uncle passed away without leaving any heirs.

With the support of General Huo Bin, I somehow ended up on the throne.

Huo Ziguang, General Huo's youngest son, was half my tutor and half my study companion.

Life in the palace was far from peaceful. There were assassination attempts and poisonings, yet behind every incident, it seemed, the Huo family was somehow involved.

“My good subject, if Father and I ever come to blows, whose side will you take?”

Huo Ziguang didn't answer. He said I was always imagining things.

Ziguang, can I really trust you? Will you really protect me?

Hmph, you'll just side with the Huo family and let the general lecture me again...

It took three years on the throne for me to realize how useless I was, and how power had slipped from my hands.

I have to try harder. I have to pull myself together. I don't want my future to be shrouded in darkness.
