(Digimon) The Bystander

← The cover art is thanks to Mozi XD This is the story of a stubborn, prickly girl who claims to hate children, yet has no choice but to look after two noisy little brats. Before she knows it, she grows attached to them, but still stubbornly insists, "I hate kids more than anything." She's a seemingly introverted girl who's actually a tsundere. Usually, when someone transmigrates, they don't necessarily have to be overpowered, but they're bound to change something. This one-track-minded girl, however, only wants to keep her distance and watch from the sidelines, carefully avoiding any changes that might trigger an uncontrollable butterfly effect. Little does she know that her fate was changed from the moment she was born. So, it turns out that just because you don't want to do something doesn't mean you can avoid doing it. That's why we long for freedom so much. Freedom isn't being able to do whatever you want. It's being able to refuse to do what you don't want to do. Thinking you can escape everything just by standing on the sidelines is far too naive. Especially for someone whose mental age doesn't match her appearance. Also, her nickname is "Curly-Haired Dummy," given by a little monster who insists it's a name meant only for her. Unfortunately, everyone keeps ignoring that claim. One more thing: to keep this from turning into an endless hiatus, the story probably won't be very long. And many thanks to A Mu for encouraging and inspiring me (?) to start this story (hey). This is also a collaborative story with A Mu, with occasional character cameos: And here's my author page...
