Eyes of Tenderness

Please take note: I'm truly sorry to everyone who followed and favorited this story, and to myself for writing 15,000 words, but I can't keep going with it... The limitations imposed by the setting are too great. I don't want to change the ideas I want to write about, but for now I can't find a way past the constraints they create. For instance, the story I want to tell requires young Master Edward to be a French aristocrat, but when I try to portray that, I find myself unable to do it justice. I feel confident that I can do my best with the emotional aspects, but I'm struggling with the overall framework and the specific details. I suppose my idealism and my fear that I can't keep things grounded have left me too conflicted.||| To make up for suddenly abandoning this story, and also to finish some of the other stories I've wanted to write, I'll start updating Black Paper Airplane tomorrow. Probably every other day. Feel free to keep me accountable >< Thanks so much for understanding T T If Rose is about my views on love... this one is probably about repression and release? But the story itself isn't repressive, and there's not much release either. I want to write something melodramatic, but I don't quite have it in me, so as usual, it'll be a gentle, healing story with a calm tone. The only thing I can promise is a gentle, healing story... It's about the wrong person at the wrong time, who becomes the right person when the time is right. The beginning is the kind of mess that could inspire plenty of melodrama, but... well, he's a man. Don't take that sort of thing too seriously.
