[Doctor Who/PSYCH] Understanding

[Doctor Who/PSYCH] Understanding Original story: www.fanfiction.net/s/7402616/1/ Author: evilcupcake13 Translator: Wuxu Xuwu Permission: Sure! That’s a cool idea. Perfectly fine with me. Synopsis: The Doctor stops in Santa Barbara to enjoy a change of scenery. Shawn thinks he needs some company. Translator’s note: Shawn understands the Doctor. After all, they’re both lonely travelers. The original is better than my translation, because that feeling is so hard to convey. The beauty of the English really comes through only when you read the original (Come on, admit it: you’re just not good enough = =). Even if you haven’t seen PSYCH, you should have no trouble following along. Just remember that Shawn is crazy about pineapples, and that his father is a police officer who was determined to turn him into one too. In high school, Shawn stole a car to annoy his dad and took his girlfriend for a ride, only to be caught by his father and sent to jail. After graduating, he didn’t go to college. Instead, he traveled all over the United States and even around the world by himself, held more than fifty jobs, speaks several languages, is a good shot, and has incredibly sharp powers of observation (so sharp it’s insane: he remembers every little detail and has a photographic memory). Like the Doctor, Shawn also loves to talk, speaks incredibly fast, and jumps from thought to thought. He enjoys clowning around too, always laughing and joking on the surface, but when he gets serious, even the devil runs away. By the way, I’m not very happy with the Chinese translation of PSYCH.
