[Hakuoki] A Banquet Beneath the Night Cherry Blossoms

[The Short Version]

The story of a sharp-tongued girl whose quirky appeal lies in her nerves of steel, and a group of pure-hearted (?!), handsome young men.

[The Literary Version]

Beneath pale cherry blossoms, vengeful spirits roam at night.

They fly the flag of "sincerity" and live by the creed, "Evil must be cut down." Their fame is known throughout the land.

Light-blue haori, silver-white blades, scarlet blood.

An elegant, inscrutable clan of demons, a vast family hidden in the shadows, bonds etched into the heart, and a love that cannot be spoken aloud.

In this world, no spirit can live forever. Only the human heart cannot be cut apart.

At this grand, desolate cherry-blossom banquet, with whom will she attend?

The author has very simple principles: three words, "follow your mood"!!! So the writing style may vary, and I may not pay much attention to the details. You don't need to have watched the anime or played the game to understand the story. (Research purists, beware!!)

This story is a product of the author's pent-up feelings, so it will be lighthearted overall. There may be a little angst, but trust me: someone who's been tortured by the original work couldn't possibly write a tragedy, ahhh!!

Updates will be regular, but as for double updates... that's proving difficult for now = = The end of the year is hectic, you know how it is!!!

I have a rough outline that's still taking shape, so I can promise I won't abandon the story!! But the male lead hasn't been decided yet; it depends on how the plot develops. I don't make a habit of vilifying the protagonist or writing harems. If that's what you're looking for, please call the author an idiot three times in your head and then leave. Thanks for cooperating.
