Category: Crossover fanfiction, authorized translation Characters: Sherlock Holmes & Gene Hunt (not a pairing) Potential pairings: John/Sherlock (if you squint). Gene/Alex (if you squint really hard) Disclaimer: The BBC owns the new Sherlock and LoM/A2A! Spoilers: The last episode of A2A, the final scene of Sherlock 2010 The Chinese version takes some liberties in translation. Please point out any mistakes! For those unfamiliar with A2A (Ashes to Ashes) or LoM (Life on Mars), please look up Life on Mars on Baidu. Since you can't look up A2A there, I'll explain it in the author's notes = = I translated it all myself from the Wiki. *Like LoM and A2A, Space Oddity is also the title of a David Bowie song (translated as "Space Oddity" or "Space Adventure"). He achieved commercial success with it during the globally watched 1969 Moon landing. The lyrics tell the story of an astronaut lost in space, but the BBC still used the song as the theme for its Moon landing broadcast. Space Oddity is also the name of an image captured by the Hubble Space Telescope (meaning "Space Oddity"). The image shows an unusual, ghostly green object that seems to float toward a spinning galaxy.
