[Hei Hua Theme] Rain Bell

This is an achingly beautiful and mournful name, one that readily brings to mind the peerless beauty who died beneath Mawei Slope at the end of the Tang Dynasty, a three-foot strip of white silk around her neck. It also brings to mind the helplessness and reluctance in the poet Liu Yong's lines: "At the pavilion, dusk falls," "We clasp hands and gaze at each other through tearful eyes," "Since ancient times, love has always grieved at parting," and "Surely even the finest day and fairest scene would be wasted." From the imperial capital to the city of magic, it takes either two hours or thirteen. The sights I had dreamed of seeing gradually matched the images in my mind, one by one. The magnificent Forbidden City, and the stone stele by Waibaidu Bridge. The scene reflected in my heart, like a dream of Nanke. What kept me company on the otherwise dull journey was the e-book The Grave Robbers' Chronicles. As I read chapter by chapter, the outline of this story began to take shape. An alternate-reality Republic of China setting, with real historical figures appearing. If you can't accept that, please proceed with caution. I'm no academic or history buff, just an ordinary person who loves that era of warhorses and favors melodramatic, tearjerking writing. I'm a third-rate writer who piles on flowery language. So please beware of OOC and rough writing that may strain your eyes. Serious academics and history buffs, please keep your expectations in check. Those with upright values, please do the same.
