The Heavenly Question (Side Character Epilogue)

Prologue

I asked: Is there such a thing as lasting wealth and status in this world? Is there such a thing as love that lasts a lifetime?

I asked: Are the clouds you see from atop a snow mountain higher than the ones you see from a city? At the end of the material world, are there gods and demons?

I asked: Must we always give more than we receive? Must the weak forever lie at the lowest level of hell?

I asked: Among all those smiling faces, how many are genuine and how many false? Among all those banknotes, how much is good and how much evil?

I asked: ...

I was so tired of asking. Even the simplest questions took a very, very long time to answer. So Mom said, Wouldn’t it be better to play happy games?

Hehe, my questions had given her a headache, and my little brother, everyone says he’s my older brother, but I absolutely refuse to be the younger sister, runs away whenever he sees all the question marks on my face.

So! On my eighth birthday, I set myself a grand (or was it great?) goal: I would find answers to every one of those questions.
