Silk Robes in Plain Hands

Li Tengkong, a daughter of the imperial clan, was sent to become a nun under Princess Yuzhen at a young age, at the arrangement of her father, Li Linfu, who was intent on climbing ever higher. Carrying memories of an uncertain past, whether of turning into a butterfly or of her soul departing, she taught herself the arts of herbal medicine and acupuncture.

In an era of unparalleled splendor, at the height of its power and filled with remarkable people, she traveled across thousands upon thousands of miles and met figures whose influence would last for generations.

The splendid palace, the bloody battlefield, secret realms of cultivation, disaster-stricken lands steeped in sorrow: in the end, you and I are all mortals, here for but a brief moment.

Better, then, to leave greed behind, join hands and depart, seek the truth of the Five Elements, and dispel the loneliness of countless lifetimes.
