(Harry Potter) A Lovely Gift

A story about a stern-faced professor raising a little girl. Also a story about a little platinum-haired dumpling preparing to become a bride. “Draco Malfoy, let go of her hand!” The stern-faced professor raked the person daring to hold his little girl’s hand with a murderous glare. She was still just a child. How could he let another big bad wolf snatch her away? “Professor, I’m not letting go!” The little platinum-haired dumpling bravely held his ground, gripping her hand tightly. He wouldn’t let go, no matter what. The professor was scary, but his future wife mattered more!!! “Eudora, who are you going to choose?” both of them asked. The little girl, silent until now, finally got a chance to speak. “Can I split myself in half and give each of you one?” Boohoo... Daddy on the left, Draco on the right. How was she supposed to choose?! The blurb is very cheerful, but the story itself may be more serious (?). For now, it follows the plot as arranged by Auntie JK, but I don’t want the heroine to lose her father, so the professor won’t die. Everyone who’s supposed to die will still die, though (laughs). (That’s right, the list of deaths in HP remains unchanged. If you want a story where nobody dies, this might not be for you.) The CP is obvious: Draco Malfoy. The professor will have someone by her side, an original female character. (She may not appear very often.) The story basically follows the original. I won’t bash any house or character, and there’s no whitewashing either. I’ll do my best to keep Draco’s personality close to the original. Hopefully I can get it right. For the sake of the plot, the professor in the original is still not Draco’s adoptive father. Here are some potential deal-breakers, so you can steer clear: the heroine is the professor’s daughter, the CP is DM, she does well in school, I don’t know if I’ll finish it, and I’m not reliable about updating.
