The Silver Birthmark
Synopsis:
Qiu Yingying has a crescent-shaped silver birthmark over her heart. For sixteen years, it has grown faintly hot every full moon, as if something were struggling to wake from its slumber.
She had thought it was just a strange mark she'd had since birth, until she met the man on Cangwu Mountain who cultivated the path of ruthless detachment: Nangong Lihuang. He was as cool and remote as a solitary moon, his eyes devoid of sorrow or joy. He cultivated a heart of iron and stone, vowing not to fall in love for 120 years. Yet Qiu Yingying found him strangely familiar, so familiar that her heart ached.
The birthmark grew hotter, and her dreams grew more vivid. A silver moon palace, surging seas of clouds, a pair of long-fingered hands offering a cup of moonlight wine. The hands in her dream were exactly like Nangong Lihuang's.
She didn't know that in her past life she had been Liu Ruyan, the moon goddess of the Ninth Heaven. Three thousand years ago, she had merely glanced at a young man in the mortal world, yet that one look had sown a tribulation of love through the cycle of reincarnation.
That young man later cultivated the path of ruthless detachment and became Nangong Lihuang.
And now, reborn in a mortal body, she had once again fallen in love with the very same man.
