So I Won't Be Forever Heartbroken

I gathered mugwort, but my basket was not yet full. Alas, I thought of my beloved, so I set it by the roadside. I climbed that rugged peak, but my horse grew weary. I poured myself a cup from the golden wine jar, to keep my sorrow from lasting forever. I climbed that high ridge, and my horse was spent. I poured myself a cup from the rhinoceros-horn goblet, to keep my grief from lasting forever. I climbed that rocky hill, and my horse was exhausted. My servant was worn out. How could I not sigh? I am a ghost who lives in the mountains. I have been here so long that I have forgotten who I am and how I left the world. Then I heard that Book of Songs poem again, and met Yong Shang. "I got close to you only to take revenge. Are you naive or just stupid?" His dagger pierced my chest without a trace of feeling. He casually shoved me against the crumbling wall and tossed the bloodstained dagger beside me. "Here's the thing you gave me. Take it back." With a contemptuous look, he wiped the blood from his hand with a white handkerchief. "Having the Li family's blood on me makes me feel filthy." He turned and walked away. I don't think I blamed him. A thousand years later, when that familiar face appeared again, I could hardly breathe. This time, there would be no leaving and no misunderstanding. This time, I would be with you. Theme:
