A suspenseful horror story in an infinite-flow setting, told in separate episodes.
(The protagonist isn't a goody-two-shoes. No livestreams or bullet comments. The focus is on horror stories, with suspenseful twists and some silly comedy mixed in.)
After being transported to another world, players are constantly under threat of being killed by all manner of ghosts and monsters.
However, as long as they can still breathe, they must attend a group meeting every morning and present and explain a research paper.
To make sure the meetings go smoothly, the other world pauses the current instance and pulls the players into a separate dimension. Once the meeting is over, it sends them back.
That way, players have plenty of time to think about how to clear the instance.
So it's not unusual to hear Shen Yian shout, "I need to present a paper!"
The other world: Am I not benevolent and kind? Choose: do you want to die, or do you not want to live? ^0^^0^
Xiao Yuheng & Shen Yian: You're so sunny (miserable), kind-hearted (heartless), and benevolent (deranged)!
A shameless, funny top x A sharp-tongued, proud bottom (neither of them is exactly a good person, apparently)
(And we have to believe that any love that can blossom in this kind of environment is true love.)
Theme: I absolutely love group meetings. I absolutely love presenting research papers.
