The prime minister's legitimate daughter was abducted during the Lantern Festival in a single fateful turn of events.
Her family was framed by Prince Duan, and wiped out overnight.
She escaped death, but a high fever left her with amnesia. Fortunately, a wandering martial artist took her in, and a miraculous medicine gave her extraordinary strength!
She claimed a mountain as her own, founded the Azure Sky Stronghold, robbed the rich to help the poor, and became a dashing bandit queen who protected the people around her!
But when she went to rob a corrupt official, she accidentally captured a secret imperial agent ordered to investigate Prince Duan's collusion with the enemy.
At first sight, she fell in love and abducted him to the mountain to be her husband.
She thought she'd forced him into it, but to her surprise, he readily agreed. Could it be because he'd recognized her as his childhood sweetheart?
She helped him find ironclad proof of the treason, and he returned to the capital to report his findings.
But Prince Duan's followers launched a vicious attack, surrounding the stronghold with a large force. Her former brothers-in-arms were stained with blood, and a false rumor spread that her beloved had betrayed her!
The stronghold fell. Convinced her lover had betrayed her, she fought her way out and jumped into the river to fake her death. Little did she know, after returning to the capital, the man joined forces with his old allies, killed Prince Duan with his own hands, and lived as a widower.
Years later, when the Xiongnu invaded, he was ordered to oversee the army and unexpectedly met her again in the military camp, now a deputy general!
His long road to winning her back began. He revealed the truth behind the attack and helped her recover her lost memories. Though she thanked him for clearing her family's name, she had no wish to rekindle their relationship.
Until, at the brink of death, he took a fatal blow for her and nearly died...
At last, she understood her own feelings, and together they defeated their foreign enemies.
In the end, they resigned from their posts and retired to establish an academy.
They thought leaving the court would bring them peace and quiet. Who could have guessed that the former imperial attack dog would willingly become an ordinary schoolteacher and shamelessly cling to her? It seemed the peaceful life she wanted was still a long way off...
