Dongmu Xiu was originally an ordinary male college student from the great country across the neon sea. After an accident, he was bound to a volleyball System and dropped into the neon world, where he was reborn as an ordinary neon citizen.
Because he was reborn painlessly as a baby after being bound, his usable brainpower plummeted, and poor Dongmu Xiu forgot all about the System.
But nothing goes unpunished forever, and the time had come. The very first second he stepped onto his high school campus, he painlessly awakened the Volleyball Victory System. He was told that from then on, he had to win on the court, become the uncrowned king of the team sport of volleyball, and claim victory:
Dongmu Xiu: .
Dongmu Xiu: ...Me?
Dongmu Xiu: points at himself expressionlessly ()
Okay, sure. No wonder he's been so lucky lately. So this is where all his bad luck was waiting for him.
(looks up at the sky) (screams) (broods) (crawls) (rolls around)
He may think he's unlucky, but he signed his own reincarnation papers back then. Not following through now would be pretty shameless... But if he does follow through, isn't the System asking a bit too much?
...Is it even human to never lose a match? System, take a look at his suboptimal health and zero volleyball experience before you say anything!
Dongmu Xiu thinks he can still fight this.
Anyway, after plenty of back-and-forth haggling, Dongmu Xiu successfully negotiated a deal: go undefeated in the Interhigh and Spring High tournaments for all three years of high school.
Dongmu Xiu: !
Dongmu Xiu: I am absolutely not happy! (dead fish eyes)
This world has been too cruel to him... Even a rabbit will bite when pushed too far.
Dongmu Xiu rolls the volleyball in his hands and looks at the crowd across from him, their expressions all different. A cool smile appears on his face.
"No one," he says softly, "no one can stop me from winning."
1. The school he starts at is different every time he starts over.
2. The route will probably be Nekoma, Shiratorizawa, Aoba Johsai, Date Tech, then Aoba Johsai again (looks away), with Aoba Johsai winning in the end. I'm not going to Karasuno. I don't know how to write Karasuno ().
3. This guy looks shy, but he's actually completely sweet on the outside and dark within. Off the court, he switches effortlessly between being a warm, gentle guy with a smile and a cold-faced guy with no smile. As for on the court... I just want to say that people who want to win don't smile. Of course, if he does smile, he may have entered a whole new realm ().
4. He has no worldly desires and likes to lie flat. He seems easygoing but is actually very extreme.
5. He's a completely unlucky guy. There may be scenes coming up where he has a 50% chance of winning or losing, and then loses (looks way off into the distance).
6. He both loves and hates volleyball completely. There's very little love and a lot of hate, but no matter what, volleyball has become one with him, so this is a pair of total hate-lovers.
7. Don't read if you're an avid fan of the canon characters. I'm a protagonist fanatic, so I like writing stories where the protagonist is really strong!
