Vermilion Sand, White Dew
Vermilion sand in wine, white dew turned to frost. One sword, two souls, a century of heartbreak.
Wangshu, the ancient weapon of the moon goddess, its radiant light enough to make myriad demons submit. Yet somehow, it chose a snake demon as its master.
Liu Ruyan, a thousand-year-old snake demon, wears red and was born with irresistible charm. She wields Wangshu not to slay demons, but to seek an answer: "Why are demons born?"
Liu Xiyan, Mount Heng's finest disciple, is as cool as the moon, with a clear sword heart. Ordered down the mountain, she vows to slay the demon and reclaim the divine sword.
But when she points her sword at Liu Ruyan, Wangshu trembles violently in her hand, and the blade reflects a blurred vision of their past lives.
It turns out that a hundred years ago...
Beside a waterfall behind Mount Heng, two young women sat side by side. One was cool and dressed in white, the other passionate and dressed in red. Together, they forged a sword and made the same wish: to eradicate every injustice in the world.
But before the sword was complete, disaster struck.
Their master's short sword pierced the red-clad woman's chest, and the white-clad girl lost her memories. From then on, one fell into the demonic path, while the other cultivated for a hundred years.
"Do you hate me?" Liu Ruyan asked.
"I hate that you didn't take me with you back then."
Wangshu swings, cutting not a demon but the long-buried, unspeakable love between them.
Mount Heng's pursuers are closing in, and their master's lies are about to be exposed.
This time, they choose to...
Wield the sword together.
Vermilion sand is a demon, white dew an immortal. Vermilion sand can be used as medicine to save lives, while white dew on one's clothes can break one's heart. But somehow, vermilion sand is a snake demon, and white dew a sword immortal. Who saves whom, who kills whom, has never been up to fate.
The hook in one sentence:
A hundred years ago, I forged a sword for you. A hundred years later, you cleave the heavens for me. One Wangshu, two sword souls. Between righteousness and evil, only you and I remain.
