[Synopsis]
A System that had completed countless missions with its Host had just transmigrated into the primordial world when the Lord of the Heavens, Tongtian Jiaozhu, captured it.
“Huh, an unfamiliar little ball of spiritual energy? What are you doing in my Biyou Palace?”
“Biyou Palace????”
The System looked at the red-clad young man before it and realized it was trapped within the powerful aura surrounding him, unable to escape. It nearly fainted.
The man before it seemed to be Tongtian, the Sage of the Jie Sect.
The System thought it was about to die.
It was supposed to guide its Host from the lowest-ranking disciple to the peak, conquering the primordial world. Now not only had it lost its Host, it had been captured too.
After thinking quickly, the System decided to switch Hosts.
It didn't matter who it bound itself to for missions. A Sage would surely be even better.
So the System acted obsequiously toward the man before it and told Tongtian that, during the Investiture of the Gods, his two older brothers would join forces to scheme against him, and his Jie Sect would be destroyed as a result. Nearly all his disciples would die, and Hongjun, that old schemer, would force him to swallow a Sage-Fall Pill.
The System smugly told Tongtian that it could help him escape the control of the Heavenly Dao, become a Great Dao Sage, and even kill Yuanshi, Taishang, and Hongjun for him.
After hearing it out, Tongtian merely said with interest, “But... the Investiture of the Gods ended a thousand years ago.”
“What????”
The System looked at the bustling Biyou Palace.
Wait, was this right?
Wasn't the story of the primordial world supposed to say that the Jie Sect was destroyed after the Investiture of the Gods? Its disciples were either placed on the divine roster or dead, and the sect master was imprisoned in Zixiao Palace.
Had it gone to the wrong place?
Meanwhile, the System's original Host, who had transmigrated as an outer sect disciple of the Jie Sect, was in their own cave dwelling, shouting for the System in their mind.
After learning where the System came from, Tongtian decided to keep it. After all, he was terribly bored these days and curious about other worlds.

Notes:
1. The main world, or what might be called the true primordial world, is set a thousand years after the Investiture of the Gods in the System's timeline. The Three Pure Ones have gone their separate ways, but haven't fought. They're still loving brothers, and Master Hongjun isn't a villain either. He's just a poor old man, all alone in Zixiao Palace.
2. The other minor worlds, meaning the worlds where the System was originally meant to perform missions and other parallel worlds, have their own conflicts among the Three Pure Ones, and Hongjun may not be a good person.
