[Honghuang] The Moon of Days Gone By

[Synopsis]

In the Investiture of the Gods battle, everyone knew the two close-knit senior and junior brothers would fight each other to the death. In the end, the Shangqing Saint was taken back to Zixiao Palace by the Dao Ancestor, and the Jie Sect scattered and faded away.

This story's pairing: Yuanshi x Tongtian

Some other details:

1. The story takes place after the Investiture of the Gods. It begins when Shangqing leaves Zixiao Palace. So there will be a little Journey to the West, some Investiture of the Gods, other prehistoric-world settings, and plenty of original worldbuilding.

2. Hongjun is not a villain, and neither is the Heavenly Dao. The Heavenly Dao is simply the highest rule: cold, emotionless, formless, invisible, and intangible. Hongjun is the master of the Three Pure Ones.

3. Yuanshi and Tongtian have a child. Of course, neither of them gave birth to the child. Just as they took form from balls of pure qi, the child was also molded from a ball of qi. The child's identity is the Golden Spirit Holy Mother. The borrowed setting here is that Doumu Yuanjun was formed from the Yin Qi of Yuanshi Tianzun.

4. The Investiture of the Gods List is not some "Ten Thousand Souls Banner" that seals away primordial spirits. The Investiture of the Gods was about maintaining the order of heaven and earth, choosing laborers during a great tribulation. Those placed on the list go from being free and unfettered immortals to shackled working gods, changing from the immortal path to the divine path, and from absorbing spiritual energy to absorbing worship and offerings.

5. Other details are undecided.
