[Jujutsu Kaisen] A Ship from the Start

Xin Cheng died on a mission.

What greeted her after death was not the Grim Reaper, but...

a boat oar.

A mysterious voice told her: [From now on, you will be in charge of this boat and guide souls to their destination.]

Xin Cheng reported for duty. Her first passenger was... the Star Plasma Vessel she had been protecting before she died?

She and the Star Plasma Vessel stared at each other.

They had barely exchanged a few words when the Heavenly Restriction Tyrant dropped from the sky.

Time flew by, and Xin Cheng received another classmate with weird bangs.

Familiar faces began appearing like dumplings dropping into a pot.

Her junior, familiar faces from the Three Great Families, the neighbor’s kid, even her teacher and the strongest in the Jujutsu Society...

In just one month, they all appeared, and Xin Cheng’s oar was about to start throwing sparks from all the rowing.

Xin Cheng: Has the world ended?!

Gojo and Geto had a classmate. She was gentle and dependable, but she was also the first to teach them what death meant.

Thinking they would never meet again, Geto smiled as he welcomed death, only to encounter Xin Cheng once more.

“Geto, it’s been a long time.” She invited him aboard her boat.

Their friends and family were all on the boat.

They decorated rooms, made delicious food, and chatted about everything under the sun.

The only problem was that there were a lot of dead friends. Gradually, everyone went from “You died too?!” to a laid-back “When’s so-and-so coming down?”

Until they finally let go of what was weighing on their hearts.

“Okay, now that you’ve made peace with your regrets, you can move on,” Xin Cheng said with a blink.

The little boat she’d started with had long since been expanded into a floating house. She pushed them back onto the original little boat.

They crossed the red sea, meant to journey together toward paradise.

But then the dead heard Xin Cheng say:

[Domain Expansion, ]

[Return of All Life to the Earth!]

Everyone found themselves lying on their backs in the world of the living, utterly baffled.

“Wait, what?!”

In 2006, the sorcerer Xin Cheng died on a Star Plasma Vessel mission.

She had cursed energy but no cursed technique.

No, she did have a cursed technique.

Its activation condition was death.

1. Primarily Jujutsu Kaisen.

2. Inspired by the game Spiritfarer. You don’t have to have played it to enjoy the story (I’ve heavily altered the setting).

3. Male lead undecided.
