Clark Kent, aka Kal-El, aka Superman, died again today. Yes, “again.”
Since someone else took his resurrection slot, he has no choice but to work odd jobs as a spirit for the consciousnesses of parallel universes in exchange for their help.
The jobs include, but aren't limited to: getting a wealthy man and a young reporter, caught in a mistaken-identity romance where one runs while the other chases, to fall in love; helping a loveless married couple who married for political reasons rediscover their feelings; getting 18+ clay figurines whose relationship has stalled to understand each other's hearts; and finding the world-destroying villain's lost first love so he'll finally go die in peace, among other things.
Although it sounds like a joke, if these jobs are assigned by the consciousnesses of the worlds, they must all involve preventing the world's destruction and saving humanity from disaster... right?
Looking at the Nth pair of parallel-universe world's best partners he'd accidentally brought together, he couldn't help falling into deep thought.
