Taking a Tycoon System Back to the 1980s

Bad news: After battling cancer for five years, Cheng Qi passed away.

Good news: He lived again, only this time he was back in the 1980s.

Even better news: He was bound to a System called Tycoon Sign-In.

The System had no demands. He just had to sign in every day to receive a reward.

It sounded pretty good.

But the sign-in reward was capped at $10,000.

Cheng Qi: I think I can still take a chance! What if my bike turns into a motorcycle?

After trying several times, he finally unlocked random weekly missions.

⭐, Buy an item at the Friendship Store

⭐⭐, See the old person in front of you safely home

⭐⭐⭐, Earn 50 yuan within a week

There was no penalty for failing, but completing a mission earned him far more than a sign-in reward, even for the easiest ones!

Cheng Qi: Yes! I won the gamble!

At first, Cheng Qi had no other plans. He just wanted to live a healthy life in this era. As long as he could stay alive, that was enough.

But as the System issued missions, he gradually learned more about the challenges facing the country at the time.

Although the country had already announced its policy of reform and opening up, its early development was still a struggle.

Cheng Qi thought that perhaps he could give the country a push.

Years later, Cheng Qi stood atop Tiananmen Gate as one of the first patriotic overseas Chinese entrepreneurs to return home and help build the country, the country's biggest overseas Chinese donor, and a pioneer in the fight against poverty. He had been invited to watch the military parade.

Overcome with emotion, he said, "I really only wanted to start a little factory."
