We've Really Seen a Ghost [Hong Kong, 1990s]

Lu Anlan transmigrates to 1990s Hong Kong and, for no apparent reason, becomes an undocumented person.

Well, fine. He'll work under the table. What else can he do?

After he walks past a high-rise and witnesses someone fall to their death, the world seems to change before his eyes.

He seems to be able to see ghosts!

"Waaah, I really didn't die by jumping! I caught my scumbag husband cheating, and he pushed me off! Please help me. Don't let him get away with it!"

Clutching his chest and pale as a sheet, Lu Anlan tells the police that he saw a pair of hands push the woman over.

Half an hour later, the victim's husband is arrested.

After that, a Netherworld interface appears on Lu Anlan. It shows detailed information about ghosts, as well as the obsessions that bind them.

And as long as he helps those wandering spirits let go of their obsessions and move on, he'll receive a huge sum of money!

Lu Anlan: I can do this!

For the money, he can overcome his fear of ghosts!

When faced with the eldest daughter of the He family, who was strangled and thrown into the water, Lu Anlan takes her home and helps her express years of resentment, regret, and love toward her parents.

"Daddy, Mommy, if there's another life, I hope you don't have to deal with a rebellious daughter like me again."

When faced with a young punk who was beaten to death in a clash between two gangs, Lu Anlan helps deliver the money he'd hidden in a corner to Granny Li in the walled city.

"Granny, remember that bowl of wonton noodles you bought me when I was starving? With this money, you won't have to go out to work anymore. You can enjoy your retirement."

When faced with a police officer who died at the hands of criminals, Lu Anlan passes along the last piece of information the officer obtained to the police station.

"You absolutely mustn't let the Yiqun gang get those 300 kilograms of drugs! Not one kilogram! Not one more!"

From then on, Hong Kong has a Mr. Lu who specializes in helping ghosts move on. Whether there's something strange in your home or you want to seek justice for the dead, go to him. You can't go wrong!
