A Taste of Britain: A Female Chef's Journey to Follow Her Dreams

Su Qingqing, a 25-year-old Chinese cuisine head chef, moves to London to stay with relatives after a family crisis. Through a series of coincidences, she lands a job as a kitchen assistant at a Michelin one-star French restaurant, where she faces discrimination for both her gender and her nationality.

Her mother's serious illness drains her savings, forcing Su Qingqing to give up her head-chef position at a restaurant back home. She flies to London with her family's heirloom cleaver and recipe notebook.

Stuck in her relatives' cramped apartment under gloomy skies, Su Qingqing makes a living working at a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Her impressive knife skills earn her a recommendation for an interview at an upscale restaurant.
