Everyone knows the Zenin family has no place for idlers.
Zenin Naoki spent two years lying flat at home, watching anime, playing games, eating takeout, and drinking soda, living the good life and becoming an expert at doing nothing.
In the end, after he shouted "Honkai: Star Rail! Launch!" in front of his cousin, his enraged family kicked him off to neighboring Yokohama.
Yokohama, a wholesale market for ability users and a gathering place for the masterminds behind elaborate schemes. It has a famous mafia factory for polishing diamonds, as well as the most skilled schemers, who know how to weave a delicate balance. It's a chaotic place that the jujutsu world can only dream of, and wants no part of.
Naoki couldn't be bothered to argue with the Zenin family. He obediently accepted their arrangement and happily moved somewhere new to lie flat.
Perhaps Heaven couldn't stand Naoki slacking off. Not long after he arrived in Yokohama, Honkai: Star Rail on his phone turned into an uncontrollable supernatural ability.
Supernatural Ability [The Fourth Wall]
Like playing games? Want a fully immersive experience? Here's your chance.
Rule One: Before the next version update, players have 42 days (in-game time) to challenge the three routes of the Abyss and strive for a full-star clear.
Rule Two: If the challenge fails, any game bosses the players haven't defeated will descend into reality. Hold off the monsters and save the world before your action points run out.
Rule Three: Once certain conditions are met, the odds of obtaining a [Character] will increase. [Characters] can be summoned into the present world and will be the player's greatest companions.
Rule Four: Reality isn't a single-player game. Players have unlimited access to friend support. But remember, the player's agency must never be questioned.
Rule Five: Enjoy your turn-based game on the reality side!
The supernatural ability's instructions, looking like rules from a horror game, smacked Naoki right in the face. A devoted fan of his favorite characters, he now had no choice but to face game bosses with health bars longer than his life and a playstyle as nasty as a dog's.
As the range of Naoki's ability grew, the three Abysses, Chaotic Memories, Fictional Narratives, and Apocalyptic Shadows, grew more and more intense. Yokohama's Three-Part Framework and the power struggles over reform in the jujutsu world no longer mattered.
Even Sukuna would have to fight the Black Tide, and Kenjaku would have to face the Blazing Sun.
Was Gojo Satoru really the answer for this version? Would Dazai Osamu make the T0 rotation? Could Edogawa Ranpo beat the game System when it was arguing with itself?
Fight to protect world peace and keep the cosmic creatures of Honkai: Star Rail from running amok and invading Earth!
But the blue and green mod menu was banned, the odds of pulling characters after the game became reality were unknown and seemed to depend on affection, and unlucky Naoki kept failing his pulls. His preferences were now plain for all to see.
Naoki, publicly humiliated, cried out in agony:
"Is it that I don't want to pull for my favorite? Don't I want to enjoy the game with the best character in the current version? But the one I love is on the second-half banner!!
Is this my fault? It's obviously the developers' fault!"
Theme: What you love is what makes life.
