The Heartbeats of Youth

[Update paused, currently preparing a backlog]

Mutual pining / Reunion after years apart

As a girl, Su Yi had a secret: she had once had a crush on one of the top students in her class.

He was handsome and well-mannered, humble, and excellent at everything.

He was a rising star in his teachers' eyes, always ranking among the top three in the entire grade.

Su Yi, meanwhile, was an average student, quiet and unnoticed.

Though she knew they were worlds apart, she couldn't help looking up to his radiance.

In the end, love rose with the wind, but even after the wind died down, the ache remained.

She buried those feelings deep inside, where no one would ever know.

An unexpected reunion years later brought that sealed-away past back to light.

He was still just as outstanding, just as dazzling.

She had thought they would go on like two parallel lines, never crossing paths again. But he, who had remained on her friends list all this time, suddenly sent her a message.

"Long time no see. How have you been?"

It turned out that, in his eyes too, she was the most special one of all.

It turned out that someone else shared the feelings she had never been able to voice.

★ The leads are not siblings or relatives, nor are they from the same village. They simply share a surname.
