The System said, “Choose a meal plan and eat it for a month, and you’ll be rewarded with one billion dollars.”
Laila did the math, then ate it.
The money really did arrive.
But the System also said that Laila had to make a choice every day.
It called it “Your XXX, Decided by the Twelve Zodiac Signs.”
And so, random staircases kept appearing in Gotham’s skies.
Wagyu beef, watermelon, ice cream, lipstick, even lava staircases.
Laila stood ten thousand meters in the air, her legs trembling.
Faced with ruined knees or a flattened tailbone, she chose to call Superman.
The Gotham Police Department received multiple reports:
Mysterious entrances had appeared beneath manhole covers, inside trash cans, and even within computer towers.
The Penguin, Black Mask, Mr. Freeze, and other villains frowned at the inexplicable walls that had appeared. “I could’ve sworn we had a base here.”
Now, an unexplained fortune had appeared in a special account at Gotham Bank: one billion dollars.
Every clue pointed to a girl who had eaten the Bat Meal at a hamburger joint for a whole month.
Batman looked at the location tracker in his hand, then glanced up at the sky.
There was no staircase.
But her signal was moving steadily through the air at an altitude of ten thousand meters.
A lighthearted comedy that puts everyone through the wringer.
Especially Superman.
Sorry, I was wrong. I’ll do it again next time.
