The Follower

Zhuang Congxue's world underwent a drastic change one ordinary day.

Every month, the shadow of another world appeared in the sky. An unknown force selected "lucky ones" from across the world and sent them there, broadcasting their every move live. Only those who completed their tasks during the broadcast could return home. Those who failed would bring disaster upon the world.

Task-takers had a chance to gain arcane abilities while completing their missions. Those who obtained such abilities were known as mages. People who became their followers could randomly inherit one of their mage's arcane abilities, with up to fifty percent of its power.

After the mage Zhuang Congxue followed died, she was chosen and sent into that world...
