The Love Letter Never Sent

Suffering x Savior

Sensitive, melancholic girl vs. sunny boy

-

Yu Yin's life was like being submerged in a damp plum-rain season, with drizzle that seemed as though it would never stop.

When she was at the age of first love, someone held an umbrella over her, shielding her from the storm and guiding her forward.

She bought that sheet of letter paper at the little school shop. Yu Yin had been there many times.

She spent a long time writing that love letter, but whenever she was about to hand it over, she hesitated and pulled back.

Maybe... being friends was better than being lovers. At least then, she could stay by his side forever.

When she finally worked up the courage to draw close again, someone else was standing beside him.

It turned out that all those moments when he had risked everything for her, and all that unmistakable favoritism, were because the girl he loved had once suffered the same kind of hurt.

Only then did Yu Yin realize that the umbrella shielding her from the storm had been nothing but a fantasy of her own making.

On the day of the school anniversary, Yu Yin stood in the place she had once known so well. She folded the love letter into a paper airplane and tossed it into the sky.

The paper plane curved through the blue sky and landed on a man's head.

Just as he had years ago, he handed her the love letter, a gentle smile at his lips.

"Long time no see, Yu. This is my wife."

"...Long time no see."
