Victoria's Dark Web: Becoming Victoria

A dark girl's nineteenth-century reform journal, written by a twenty-first-century girl.

Alicia Victoria Hanover** (before transmigrating: Lin Xiaotong, a Chinese college student in the twenty-first century, severely socially anxious and addicted to the internet. She excelled at holding forth on forums under an anonymous identity, while in real life she was considered a "freak.")

Golden finger: A System in her mind that connects to "Voices from the Dark Web," an anonymous Chinese forum in the twenty-first century. Posting and replying consume "emotional energy," fueled by her negative emotions.

As classical monarchy collides with the tide of modernization, the girl uses her advanced knowledge to force reforms, provoking a backlash from the old powers. The forum users go from "here for the spectacle" to "actually, this is great," and ultimately become her emotional support.
