In the Year of the Horse in Bingwu, before the first lunar month is over, a ghost marriage that spans life and death quietly begins. The town has a strange custom for thousands of years - the living and the dead get married, and the coffin is not buried in the ground, but hung in the Yin Temple on the cliff, which is called the "Yin Yang Coffin". She didn't believe in ghosts and gods, but in the old photos in the ancient town archives, she saw herself wearing a blood-red wedding dress, lying in a coffin with the remains of an unknown man. In order to get rid of the increasingly clear signs of death, Qiu Yingying had to turn to Lin Mei, the youngest "coffin maker" in the town. The Lin family has been in charge of the creation and sealing of Yin and Yang coffins for generations. Lin Mei herself was considered ominous by the townspeople because she could communicate with Yin and Yang and trade with dead souls. The two are forced to work together to trace the source of the curse among cliffs filled with hanging coffins, ancestral halls filled with paper figures, and ghostly streets that only emerge at midnight.

The opening of each Yin-Yang coffin releases a forgotten sin. The obsession of the dead souls wraps around reality like vines, dragging the ancient town towards the cracks of Yin-Yang.
When the red coffin that belonged to them finally emerged, the ancient runes engraved on the lid of the coffin were actually the ancient runes for the two of them to join hands in forming a contract.
