Dr. Liang was urgently summoned to the hospital, so the two of them left early. As he changed his shoes, Liang Yueran muttered, "I'm just a brick. Wherever I'm needed, that's where I go."

Mr. Cheng replied languidly, "Bet you're hollow inside."

Liang Yueran glared at him. The next second, he decided to throw caution to the wind. He deliberately draped himself coquettishly against Cheng Ji's chest and lightly pounded it with a fist. "I'm gonna thump your chest with my teeny-tiny fists!"

"Ahem."

"Ahem, ahem, ahem."

Liang Yueran squeezed his eyes shut, wishing he could faint right there. He fell backward, and Cheng Ji reached out to catch him, holding him steady.

Then the other four began their performance:

Friend 1: "I'm gonna thump your chest with my teeny-tiny fists!" He even gave Cheng Ji a few real punches.

Friend 2: "Oohhh, I'm gonna thump your chest with my teeny-tiny fists! Big Brother Cheng Ji, don't be mad!"

Friend 3: "Thump your chest with my teeny-tiny fists."

Friend 3's partner: "Ahem. Thump your chest."

Once their performance was over, the four of them sauntered off.

Cheng Ji closed his eyes briefly, then turned his gaze toward the culprit.

The culprit was clinging desperately to a pillar by the villa's front door, wailing nonstop. "I can't go on living! I'm not leaving! Just let me become one with this pillar!"

"You should be grateful they didn't record it."

"My reputation as a top... it's been utterly disgraced..."

1. Top/bottom dynamic: Liang Yueran is the top, and Cheng Ji is the bottom. Readers who mind a bottom who looks like a top but actually lies back should proceed with caution. There's no size difference. People mistake them because of their respective auras.

2. They hook up from the start, and their one-night stand turns into a committed relationship, but neither has been with anyone else.

3. The workplace aspect is touched on only briefly. It's mainly there to develop the romance and provide embarrassing moments, not a serious medical drama.

4. There are some mild disciplinary scenes, played for humorous banter and scuffling, not realistic BDSM or S&M. Please use your discretion if that's not your thing.

5. Lots of mortifying, embarrassing moments. Liang Yueran has a very active inner monologue, while Cheng Ji doesn't say much and tends to show rather than tell.

6. This novel isn't suitable for readers who are strongly invested in either character's top/bottom role!

[Before Reading] The characters' relationship is "equal outside the bedroom, clearly defined in bed." In everyday interactions, they don't distinguish themselves by their top/bottom roles, but those roles are clearly defined in intimate scenes.
