In his senior year of high school, overwhelmed by academic pressure, Xu Zhou started streaming online. He could produce photos showing off his abs at the drop of a hat, posting almost one every day. His follower count soared, and before long he had hundreds of thousands of fans across the internet.
Several of his biggest fans were extravagant spenders, with account levels above seventy and total spending in the tens of millions. Whenever Xu Zhou streamed, these big spenders showered him with gifts, and he made a fortune.
Of course, Xu Zhou's inbox was also flooded with private messages.
But he was busy with school at the time and paid no attention to the outrageous comments and all kinds of weirdos. He didn't add the big spenders on other social media. He only occasionally chatted with them in his inbox.
Their conversations were limited to him venting about his studies and the enormous pressure he was under. The big spenders would always comfort him, then follow up with a heartfelt speech.
Unable to take it anymore, Xu Zhou deleted his account after the college entrance exam. But he was extravagant with money and had spent all the earnings from his old streams, so he registered a new account and started streaming again.
On the first day he posted a video, hardly anyone watched, and the comments section was dead quiet.
On the second day, he gained a hundred followers, who flooded the comments with praise for his incredible physique.
So on the third day, Xu Zhou confidently started a livestream. He hadn't expected to run into a tough opponent on his very first stream. The other streamer was also a fitness model, but he was much more uninhibited than Xu Zhou and said far more outrageous things.
Xu Zhou usually didn't care much about winning or losing, but the other streamer saw that he was wearing a mask and started insulting him, taunting him and putting him down. He said Xu Zhou might have a good body, but his face must be hideously ugly in real life. That sent Xu Zhou's fighting spirit blazing.
The winner of a livestream battle not only received points, but could also make the loser perform any task they wanted. The other streamer clearly had no intention of going easy on Xu Zhou. With three minutes left and the outcome all but decided, he arrogantly told Xu Zhou to bark like a dog for the audience.
Just as the score stood at 1,000 to 20,000, a high-level account over level seventy, surrounded by a dazzling, colorful aura, suddenly entered Xu Zhou's livestream. After a few seconds, it sent a message:
[Call me "big brother" twice, and I'll help you win.]
Xu Zhou stared at the incredibly familiar profile picture and username. His body trembled. Wasn't this one of the big spenders he'd abandoned?
But there was no time to think. If he lost, the other streamer would mock him and force him to bark like a dog. Xu Zhou's eyes turned watery, and he immediately started acting cute for the camera. "Big brother~"
The battle turned around the very next second. Xu Zhou surged past his opponent with unstoppable momentum, and soon seemed to have him completely on the defensive.
Black-and-white swans, high-speed airships, flashy sports cars, dreamlike cruise ships: one special effect after another filled the screen, leaving viewers dazzled.
The score leaped from 1,000 to 20,000, to 101,000 to 20,000, then from 101,000 to 1 million to 50,000. In the end, Xu Zhou's 5.2 million points dwarfed his opponent's 200,000.
That day, Xu Zhou became a sensation as a new streamer. Everyone knew that a mysterious big spender had his back, throwing money at him like water.
The moment the stream ended, Xu Zhou nervously sent the big spender a message to thank him. But when he saw the reply a second later, he froze in front of the screen.
Big spender: [Forgot about me already?]
[Send me a photo of your abs, or I won't send you any gifts during your streams from now on.]
Xu Zhou obediently sent him a photo of his abs. The other guy read it but didn't reply for a long time. It was obvious he was very pleased with Xu Zhou's body.
Xu Zhou knew each big spender's personality and preferences inside out. The one he'd met today was easy to deal with, but possessive and always messaging him to send photos of his physique. Still, he was generous, so Xu Zhou didn't dislike him that much.
It wasn't until the next day's stream that Xu Zhou truly wanted to destroy the world. Several big spenders he'd abandoned all showed up in his livestream that night.
With a lineup like gods clashing, the big spenders took turns getting jealous, just like before, making Xu Zhou's life miserable.
Eventually, he was so fed up that he simply stopped streaming. He was walking around A University, enjoying the scenery, when several people grabbed his wrists at once. The astonishingly possessive madness in their dark eyes left him stunned.
Xu Zhou: Oh no! My big spenders are coming after me in real life now.
Theme: Make sure you live each day well!
