Synopsis One:
Ling Yuan has been frail and sickly since birth. She was raised in the Linghuang Sect, isolated from the outside world, yet ever since she was little, she has dreamed of someone with a face identical to hers.
To uncover the secret of the person in her dreams, she sneaks out of the sect, disguises herself as a boy, and enrolls at the Springless Academy. She hopes to use the academy as a pretext to visit a certain place and uncover the truth, but instead encounters a group of peculiar teammates.
At this severely run-down academy, one senior student is handsome and sharp-minded but eccentric, another has a vacant stare and a mind like a broken clock, and the only senior girl is aloof and keeps to herself.
Of the three other new students enrolling alongside her, one is a silent roommate who seems mute, another is a shy junior with weak spiritual powers, and the last is a blind junior girl who may be carrying a dangerous animal.
Ling Yuan wonders if she really has a future at an academy like this.
Yet a year later, they charge through the Spiritual Masters' Tournament and make it all the way to the finals.
In the finals, Ling Yuan sees the person from her dreams. At the same time, her identity as a girl is exposed in front of everyone. But instead of receiving the audience's admiring praise, she is met with looks of terror from everyone.

Synopsis Two:
The Yunhui Continent holds the Spiritual Masters' Academy Tournament every four years. Any academy that misses three consecutive tournaments will lose its right to operate.
The Springless Academy has six people in total, including just three students. For two tournaments in a row, it has failed to assemble the minimum seven students required to compete, putting its future at risk.
At the fervent hopes of everyone at the academy, Ling Yuan, who harbors a secret, disguises herself as a boy and enrolls at the Springless Academy. Three other students enroll alongside her.
The dean, eyes brimming with tears, declares, “Our academy is saved!”
But at the tournament's opening ceremony, the organizers, the Spiritual Masters' Tower, suddenly revise the rules: any academy that missed the last two tournaments and fails to place in the top three this time will have its operating license revoked on the spot.
The Springless Academy is the only academy in the whole tournament that meets those conditions. “So this is targeted at us, huh???”
That night, the dean offers them sincere encouragement: “Students, believe in yourselves. We can do this!”
Ling Yuan looks at the dean's graying hair, then at her teammates: a fake mute, a genuinely blind girl, a complete fool, and a weak little kid, plus herself, frail and sickly.
The only two “normal” people on the team are one who seems gentle but is actually eccentric, and another who is as cold as ice and wants nothing to do with anyone.
You're saying this ragtag team of weak, old, sick, and disabled people, who seem to have no teamwork at all, is supposed to place in the top three?
Does our academy really have a chance of surviving?

1. The romance is a slow burn, with mutual tension in the early story. The later romance is more direct, but the focus remains on their careers.
