Synopsis
Introduction to "Zero State Kung Fu Theory" "The Theory of Zero State Kung Fu" is a practical philosophical work on the mind that takes the mind as the entrance, the closed loop of perception and action as the path, and the "zero state" as the destination. The author Zhou Guofu started from the personal confusion that "life is meaningless on a cosmic scale" and through years of self-study and self-certification, he built a complete and operable Kung Fu system in Dali. The whole book is based on three fundamental questions: "Who am I?" "How to live?" And "What is the meaning?" The author proposes: People are not fixed entities, but nodes in relationships and the ongoing operations themselves; the way to live is to restore the natural connection between body and mind through "keeping the body"; and the meaning is not in the distance, but in the moment when the relationship nodes illuminate each other. The whole book consists of three parts. The ten main chapters establish a clear practical framework: the four orthostatic positions (sensing, thought, awareness, and awareness) define the basic components of psychological activities; the three forces and three turns describe the dynamic mechanism of continuous operation of perception and action; the four-in-one bridges the four barriers between body and mind, perception, knowledge, and action; and the three-sword flow (knowledge·break) ·Sheng) deals with the operation mode of rational speculation; and the seven layers of body guarding are the most unique contribution of the book - from the body state, time rhythm, environmental exchange, physical and mental relationship to the "field behind the body" and the ultimately unquestionable "this", layer by layer, inward, implementing the practice from metaphysical talk to touching, listening and breathing. The Four Heart Techniques are used as a daily guide, condensing the entire book into operational instructions that can be carried anywhere. The final chapter concludes the book with the three major positions of "relationship precedes entity", "perception precedes speculation" and "thought precedes action". It points out that the zero state is not a profound state, but just "generalization" - generality leads to clear judgment, clarity leads to action, and action leads to success. The dialogue in the fourteenth appendix does not explain any reason, but only shows the normal state of zero-state kung fu through the daily interactions between master and apprentice. This book does not rely on any existing religious or philosophical system. The language is unique and has a strict hierarchical structure while maintaining an open space for reading. It is not a book that makes people "read", but a book that makes people "pause" - when you stop, zero state will show up. Purpose: The purpose of this book begins with an unanswerable question: Does truth exist? If everything changes, where can one find a home? The author frankly hands over his personal testimony at the beginning of the volume: life is meaningless on a cosmic scale, but at the moment of the relationship node, the moment when each other illuminates is real. He was "reluctant" to leave and couldn't bear to stop asking. This kind of reality needs to be conveyed, so this book was created. Therefore, this book is not an academic work, nor is it intended to propose a new theory for people to "understand", but to use words as a medium to convey to readers the clarity of the author's personal experience - the "zero state". The so-called zero state is not a profound state, but just "communication": the body and mind are connected, the senses and thoughts are connected, the knowledge and actions are connected, and the sword and hand are connected. If it is connected, people will not be in doubt and things will not be separated. The intention of the whole book is not to "teach people" anything, but to "give" an experience: to make those who read it stop at a certain place, and during that pause, they touch the moment when the zero state appears. The author clearly stated at the beginning of the volume: "I want to write "Zero State Kung Fu Theory" to pass on this truth." In the final chapter, he said: "The non-principles are gone, and beyond the principles, only practice is left." Therefore, the whole book refuses to stop at theoretical explanations, but points to practice all the way. In a word: the idea is not to construct, but to convey; to convey is not to explain clearly, but to let the readers stop for a moment. Once you stop, that's enough.
