A Promise from the Stars

Mom, I need to tell you something... I, uh, got someone pregnant. Of course, that's not true! It's fake!! It's just that, you know, people make mistakes! And after all these years of deepening materialist beliefs, well... you can understand how I might have mistaken an alien's marriage proposal for an employment contract, right? I only married a species that believes in the supernatural. I didn't actually give you a grandchild... Ow!

The blurb is tentative. The romance may not be explicitly written into the main story. This probably isn't just a sweet romance.

Theme: First, you have to love yourself. Second, don't sign things so carelessly.
