[Cool, aloof, broken-hearted pilot x sunny, loyal firefighter]
Everyone thinks Gu Huai is hard to approach: gloomy, distant, and keeping everyone at arm's length.
Only Sheng Ran knows that this seemingly celibate man secretly depends on him desperately.
At school, Sheng Ran was the hero who pulled Gu Huai out of the mire.
After they started working, Gu Huai became the one waiting at home, silently handing Sheng Ran a cup of warm water every time he returned from a call.
An emergency landing brought Sheng Ran, a firefighter, to the scene of an accident.
Looking at Sheng Ran, covered in soot, Gu Huai finally lost control of his usually calm voice. "Sheng Ran, that's an order. Come back safe."
Sheng Ran grinned boldly behind his gas mask. "Roger that, Captain. For you, I'll make sure I come back alive and marry you."
From school uniforms to work uniforms, from the clouds to the fireground, their love is both a journey against the current and a road home.
Just a short story.
